North Country Directional Drilling ("NCDD," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website and communications, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have. It applies to northcountrydrilling.com and to the ways we communicate with clients, partners, and applicants.
NCDD's internal software, covered by our Software Terms of Use, is available only to NCDD employees, officers, and authorized contractors and service providers. Business data it retrieves from connected services, such as QuickBooks Online, is used only for NCDD's internal business operations and is not sold or shared for marketing.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, along with a limited amount of information collected automatically:
- Contact and project information. When you submit our contact form or request a quote, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, and the content of your message. If you choose the Careers option, this includes the details of your job inquiry.
- Text message information. If you provide your phone number, we collect your mobile number and the content of text messages you exchange with us. See SMS/Text Messaging below.
- Employee onboarding information. If you complete an employee onboarding form, we collect the information you enter, such as your name, position, supervisor, and acknowledgment signature, along with the IP address, date, and time of your submission. These are sent to our staff by email as your acknowledgment record.
- Usage information. Like most websites, we automatically collect standard analytics data through Google Analytics, such as pages visited, general location, device and browser type, and referring links.
- Security and technical information. Our website and our hosting provider process your IP address and basic device and request information to deliver the site, keep it secure, and prevent spam and abuse, for example by limiting how often a form can be submitted. Our hosting provider may also set a cookie that helps tell people apart from automated traffic.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide quotes and project information;
- Coordinate active projects, including scheduling, mobilization, site access, and permitting;
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website;
- Keep our website secure and prevent spam and abuse;
- Measure how our website and our own advertising perform;
- Review job inquiries;
- Communicate with employees and applicants about onboarding and safety; and
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your information for third-party marketing, and we do not sell your personal information.
SMS/Text Messaging
Information we collect: When you provide your phone number to North Country Directional Drilling, we collect your mobile number and the content of text messages you exchange with us for the purpose of project coordination.
How we use it: We use your phone number and messages solely to communicate with you about active projects, including scheduling, mobilization, site access, permitting, and related coordination. We do not use text messaging for marketing.
Who we share it with: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. SMS consent is not shared with third parties. We may share information only with service providers who help us operate our messaging platform, and only as needed to deliver messages.
Opt-out: You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP.

How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. SMS consent is not shared with third parties. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers. With vendors who help us operate our website and communications, such as our website hosting and security provider (Cloudflare), our email delivery service (Postmark), our analytics provider (Google Analytics), and our text messaging platforms, and only as needed to provide those services.
- Legal requirements. When required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of NCDD, our clients, or others.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, including responding to you, running our business, and meeting legal, tax, and accounting requirements.
- Contact, quote, and careers messages: kept as long as needed to respond and to keep reasonable business records of our communications.
- Employee onboarding acknowledgments: kept with employment records for as long as the law requires.
- Security and technical information: kept by us and our hosting provider for a limited time to protect the site.
- Analytics data: kept by Google Analytics under the data retention setting on our account.
When we no longer need information, we take reasonable steps to delete it. If you ask us to delete information, we may still keep what we need for legal, tax, accounting, or employment records.
Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and how our own advertising performs. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect standard usage data. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization for our analytics. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, control cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Some pages embed videos from YouTube (Google) and Vimeo. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and Vimeo's do-not-track setting, but those providers receive information such as your IP address and browser details when a video player loads, and may collect more when you play a video, under their own privacy policies.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
- Text messages: Reply STOP to opt out at any time, and reply HELP for help.
- Email: You can ask us to stop sending non-essential emails by contacting us.
- Access and updates: To ask about the information we hold about you, or to request a correction or deletion, contact us using the details below.
Your State Privacy Rights
If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law, such as Louisiana, you may have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal information, and see it;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete your personal information;
- Get a copy of the personal information you gave us, in a portable format; and
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling.
To make a request, use the form on our Contact page, email info@northcountrydrilling.com, or call 218-275-7705. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request. We will respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need up to 45 more days.
If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond within 60 days. If we deny your appeal, you can contact your state attorney general.
Children's Privacy
Our website and services are intended for business use and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be posted on this page.
